I have made an expansion card based on RP2350A to provide GPIO for Framework modular PCs. I have seen others created similar cards based on RP2040 and this chip, and this one is my take. With my student team we are working on a firmware to allow you program it directly in PC python, as if its the GPIO port of the PC its connected to. If you wish you can use it as a regular microcontroller too. RP2350 has RV32 based cores called Hazard3, so you can program it in RISC-V assembly as well. We will test it on DC-ROMA AI PC first, as its a RISC-V based PC motherboard fitting right into Framework laptop chasis. Its certified by OSHWA as open source hardware with UID: IT000024. We will attend Maker Faire Rome with it. Thanks NextPCB, Framework and DeepComputing for sponsoring our open source hardware projects!
